First off....thank you so much to those who have shown compassion, given helpful ideas, or provided insight. So here are some answers and ideas....lend a hand if possible.
-all ideas that motor was taken later due to initial report of the car being "drivable" are wrong.....the car was found with no motor and was picked up by a police flatbed and taken directly to the impound. It was simply an error in communication. -the car was pushed.....by another car...and they wired so the headlights would work so it looked to be broken down. It was pushed through an industrial area from the hispanic neighborhood and dumped by a tool and die place. The car could have only been pushed so far due to the fact of being surrounded by heavily traveled main roads. -Many valuable parts were left.....seats, targa top, airbags, etc, Well over $1500 worth of easily movable parts were left. -All parts were taken to insure that the setup would bolt right up to a del sol. -Little misc parts for a del sol were taken that have no value but would work as perfect replacements if you were building one. -Nothing was broken....they knew just what they were doing, every screw was taken out indiviually, no panels cracked, they knew what they wanted and just how to properly get to it. But they made some mistakes, they were not perfect. -They wiped down the exterior to clear prints with WD40. They also did parts of the interior but did not get it all. They missed spots. -The search is on as many of these parts are very very unique and very very traceable. So if you could keep an eye on all the honda forums and on ebay we would greatly appreciate it. Here is a La-Z-Link to the mod list and some pics. If anyone needs me to post more pics, or more specific mod by mod pics let me know. I feel that the wheels will be the first thing sold off cheap and they will lead us to the rest. They are distinct and unlike almost all of the people who mod hondas, they are not huge and flashy they are 16" and on brand new yokos.
I thank you all for your help and insight.
